Four-year-old Esther was diagnosed with B-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and was connected with our program in December of 2016 when she was two years old.
Esther’s family had just moved from Brazil to York County, SC when she was diagnosed and needed help with transportation to and from Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte. Their social worker helped them get in contact with Children’s Cancer Partners.
This year, Esther and her family participated in our first ever overnight Camp Victory. Esther got to take a break from her rigorous routine of treatments and fish, do arts and crafts, play in the lake, and enjoy an outdoor movie. She and her brothers were balls of energy bouncing around camp all weekend long.
