A Message to Family and Friends
Our Kidz in Lids Day is coming.
Our school is joining hundreds of other schools by staging a Kidz in Lids event to raise awareness of the #1 disease killer of children and youth, and to raise funds to help local children.
This event helps healthy children appreciate their good fortune, learn empathy for others, and discover the goodness of charity. Please encourage your student to take part, and make sure they bring in a dollar that day for the privilege of wearing a favorite hat.
You, your family & friends, neighbors too, can chip in to boost our results and maybe put our school up on the Kidz' Leader Board where schools small and large compete equally based on per-student results. Share this QR code:

Kidz Bracelets - instead of Lids?
We have all kinds of creative ideas if wearing hats isn't the right choice for your school. We have silicone bracelets available that you can sell (we recommend $1 a piece, but you set the price!).
Other schools have come up with pajama day, sticking the principal to the wall with 18" strips of duct tape ($1 a strip), selling donuts, and more! We'd also be happy to brainstorm a new idea with you.
If you do want to sell bracelets, please let us know the quantity needed well ahead of time so we have enough for all of your students!
KIL FAQs
When does Kidz in Lids take place?
The Kidz in Lids program can take place on any school day that is convenient for your school! The event can be carried out on a single day, for a specific week or month, or extended to one day a week for over several weeks.
Many schools aim for September since that is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, but don't wait if that timing is too soon or far off for you.
How do we get more information or sign up to participate?
We invite all Carolina schools to join in this fun and meaningful program! To request more information about how we can customize this program for your school, please email us at [email protected].

My school doesn't allow hats! Is there something else we can do?
