3 years old, this strong girl faces a Wilms tumor with a sparkling personality and contagious smile.

Yamiyah entered our program when she was only three years old and facing a Wilms Tumor. Despite the challenges that have accompanied this diagnosis, she has maintained her sparkling personality and contagious smile.

Children’s Cancer Partners has been able to help Yamiyah’s family with the cost of transportation to and from the hospital in Greenville for endless treatments, food during hospital stays and other needs. Yamiyah and her family attend CCP programs and outings like Family Night, Camp Victory and our annual Christmas Extravaganza.

“This organization has been a breath of fresh air when I felt like I couldn’t breathe. When I couldn’t walk they walked for me. When I attempted to take a step, they walked with me. [CCP] has been everything and more,” said Yamiyah’s mom, Kenyatta.”They never stop…even when the diagnosis is over they’re still here, they’re still holding my hand, they’re still bending over backwards.”

Today, Yamiyah is 9 years old and in survivorship. She and her little sister stop by CCP to visit and color masterpieces to hang around our office.
